Alex Turner

Alex has over 10 years of experience as a health economist in both academic and consultancy settings.

Alex has expertise in the development and application of methods for causal inference alongside administrative health records and other ‘real-world’ data sources, including data from the UK and the US. He has extensive experience in the design and conduct of real-world studies to examine the burden of disease, inequalities in disease burden and access to healthcare, and the comparative effectiveness of health technologies. Alex also has experience conducting trial-based economic evaluations, surrogate endpoint analyses, indirect treatment comparisons, and mapping analyses predicting values of health-related quality of life from disease-specific measures of health.

Alex has published in leading peer-reviewed journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Public Health, BMC Medicine, Health Economics, Social Science and Medicine, Value in Health, and Pharmacoeconomics.
