June 15, 2021 – Putnam is proud to be a member of the MIT Solve community for the fifth year in a row, helping SOLVE screen the more than 500 incoming proposals on how global communities can better support health security and responses to pandemics.
Putnam teams will convene virtually over the next several weeks to review and score initiative plans to help narrow down the field to the finalists that will present at a global virtual conference in September. All told, our team is reviewing and scoring more than 150 submissions, helping to make them stronger for further SOLVE rounds and/or other development and fundraising.
The initiative is being spearheaded this year by Putnam Consultants and Putnam SOLVE Fellows Hayden Gruber and Jack Wildasin.
Solve is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a mission to solve world challenges. Solve is a marketplace for social impact innovation. Through open innovation Challenges, Solve finds incredible tech-based social entrepreneurs all around the world. Solve then brings together MIT’s innovation ecosystem and a community of Members to fund and support these entrepreneurs to help them drive lasting, transformational impact. Solve invites everyone to join them on this journey at solve.mit.edu.
