Putnam, a leader in the life sciences strategic advisory services, congratulates Yuanfei Wang and Joanne Evason on their promotions to Partner.
It is an exciting time to be part of the firm – with continued growth on the horizon. Putnam leadership could not be more thrilled to welcome Joanne and Yuanfei to the leadership team. This is an incredible milestone in their careers – and one they are both so deserving of.
Yuanfei has experienced an impressive journey through Putnam, starting in 2014 as a Life Sciences Consultant – just one of the first classes of Putnam LSCs. Her educational background includes a PhD in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Prior to Yuanfei joining Putnam, she spent two years in a small venture/ strategy consulting firm, Fletcher Spaght. Currently at Putnam, she is focused on building a practice of innovative commercial-data hybrid offerings – where the team applies novel analytical approaches to a combination of data sources (both big data and primary market research) to answer complex strategic questions.
Yuanfei is a role model for Putnam’s consultants, showing the meaning of hard work and determination. When asked what she is most excited for as Partner, she shares the meaningful opportunity that comes with the role in delivering value for clients and continuously pushing the boundaries on service offerings, underscored by Putnam’s mission to help their clients solve the most complex and challenging problems. She adds, “Most importantly, I’m looking forward to continuing to help maintain our incredible culture while driving growth and foster future leaders for our organization with the incredible talent group that we have.”
Joanne joined Putnam about two years ago, bringing 18 years of experience in life sciences, both industry and consulting. After being part of some great firms including Pfizer, GSK, IQVIA, gaining a breadth and depth of expertise, Joanne knew she wanted something very specific. She is part of Putnam’s VPA (value, pricing, and access) practice – an area where much of her experience stems. For example, she has focused on leveraging RWE to solve VPA problems, linking in the policy angle, and working with clients to drive patient access to some of the most transformational therapeutics at the global level, along with developing depth of expertise in key European markets.
Joanne brings deep knowledge and strong leadership qualities to the firm and is an integral part of the VPA leadership team. While reflecting on her experience at Putnam, she shares, “Joining the VPA practice at Putnam has been incredible, led by Eric Auger, and a strong, experienced leadership team, we focus on some of the most challenging VPA problems in the industry, and have continued to grow across a broader geography, with the expansion of our European team.” She is excited for what’s next and is looking forward to the continued journey ahead in her new role.
