Putnam DEI Fellowship

In May 2021, we developed the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Fellowship.

The DEI fellow is a Putnam employee who has one of their projects working on incorporating DEI into the firm’s strategy.

The goals of the fellowship are to:

  • Create structure around DEI, while maintaining Putnam culture by allowing firm engagement and interest to drive DEI development

  • Recruit diverse, global talent to ensure a wide range of perspectives are represented

  • Educate employees on topical issues related to DEI to ensure Putnam is an inclusive firm for all current and future employees

Our Current Affinity Groups

Putnam’s affinity groups provide a space for employees and allies who share a common interest that relates to DEI.

It provides a platform to:

  • Discuss unique experiences at Putnam

  • Brainstorm and propose solutions / initiatives to improve awareness, diversity, inclusivity, and equitability for those with similar identities at Putnam

  • Create opportunities for individuals (internally and within broader community)

  • Host, organize, and participate in events within the firm or as a Putnam representative that center common DEI interest

Mission Statement

To serve, empower, and advocate for the well-being of our diverse LGBTQ+ communities, and to provide a space where our LGBTQ+ colleges can feel comfortable bringing their whole self to work from day 1.

Provide firm with education and resources to broaden perspectives on LGBTQ+ issues

In-house mentorship to support junior LGBTQ+ employees navigating their professional careers

Support recruitment of LGBTQ+ talent through sponsorship of O4U Undergraduate conference

Integrated network of LGBTQ+ STEM employees through partnerships with OutBio and others
