Karan focuses on commercial strategy for leading US and European pharmaceutical and biotech clients providing them with actionable recommendations for pipeline and in-line products. His core areas of focus are new product commercialization, go-to-market strategy, portfolio development and optimization, and organizational strategy. Karan’s experience spans across a range of therapeutic areas, with recent engagements focused primarily on hematology, (immuno)-oncology, rare diseases, and neurology. Prior to joining Putnam, Karan focused on R&D and Product Design at Vasoptic Medical, a clinical-stage med-tech start-up developing a novel imaging platform for early diagnosis of ophthalmic diseases. Karan holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, an M.Eng in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA from London Business School.
