Putnam recently wrapped up another successful season of our Summer Days of Service. Every year as part of the firm’s Charitable Giving and Community Engagement Program, Putnam sponsors several Days of Service where Putnam teams volunteer their time and energy to support Boston and San Francisco area community organizations. The initiative is driven by staff and supported by the firm. Employees form teams to research organizations, organize events, and recruit colleagues to participate.
The organizations we supported this summer are:
This summer, we spent a day with the Charles River Conservancy helping to restore the urban park system, built out some frames and painted for Habitat for Humanity in Dorchester, spent the day at GLIDE Memorial preparing overdose/safe injection kits and dinner for Tenderloin residents, built new bed frames for families who are transitioning out of homelessness at Boston Cares, and helped Rosie’s Place prepare, cook and serve a meal for approx. 150 women. Putnam employees had a great time giving back to the community and spending time together outside of the office. Overall, we have provided 15 days of service to area organizations.
