Today, Putnam kicked off the firm’s Days of Service program.  In support of the United Way, a Putnam team in Boston built a new school garden site which can be used for students for dynamic and hands on STEM learning experiences and opportunities. The United Way is a non-profit with the goal of empowering communities in MA through financial opportunities and educational success. This particular project supports College Bound Dorchester whose mission is to provide intensive academic and social-emotional support to equip students to overcome the barriers on their path to and through college.  Afterwards, the group headed to Temazcal for lunch on the waterfront.

Every year as part of the firm’s Charitable Giving and Community Engagement Program, Putnam sponsors three Days of Service where Putnam teams volunteer their time and energy to support Boston and San Francisco area community organizations.  The initiative is driven by staff and supported by firm.  Employees form teams to research organizations, organize events, and recruit colleagues to participate.  The organizations we are supporting this summer are:

Charles River Conservancy

Rosie’s Place

United Way Massachusetts

Strategy for the Life Sciences
