Karan sits on the Commercial Practice Leadership team at Putnam and brings over a decade of experience advising leading US and European biopharmaceutical clients providing them with actionable recommendations for pipeline and in-line products. His core areas of focus are go-to-market strategy, opportunity assessment and forecasting, and portfolio optimization.
Karan’s experience spans across a range of therapeutic areas, with recent engagements focused primarily on oncology, hematology, rare diseases, and neurology. Karan is an active contributor of industry thought-leadership focused on the evolution of customer engagement in the pharmaceutical industry and strategic implications for organizations.
Prior to joining Putnam, Karan focused on R&D and Product Design at Vasoptic Medical, a clinical-stage med-tech start-up developing a novel imaging platform for early diagnosis of ophthalmic diseases. Karan holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, an M.Eng in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA from London Business School.
