Joanna provides scientific and analytical insight into the development of business strategies for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
She has experience in competitive landscape and strategy assessments across the product life cycle and within emerging technologies (specifically within oncology, hematology, and rare diseases), indication prioritization for R&D strategy, market sizing and demand assessment for forecasting, product launch and pricing, and brand strategy development.
Prior to joining Putnam, Joanna earned her Ph.D. from the UC Berkeley – UCSF Graduate Program in Bioengineering, completing her dissertation on the mechanobiology of growth factor receptor dynamics in chondrocytes. During that time, she also received a Management of Technology minor through the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. She earned her BS in Biomedical Engineering, with a minor in Management, from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
