Putnam CEO Remco op den Kelder shared his thoughts on Kristen’s promotion,

“Becoming a partner at Putnam is not an easy feat. It requires providing consistent high level strategic insights and guidance to our clients; and from the day that Kristen arrived at Putnam, almost 7 years ago, she has done exactly that. Over the years, she has developed deep relationships with the clients she has worked with and is seen as a true strategic thought partner. We are a better firm by having Kristen on our team and we could not be prouder having her become a partner.”

Partner, John Gordon also commented on Kristen’s promotion adding,

“We are so proud and happy to welcome Kristen as Partner.  She has given so much to our company, our clients and our people over her long tenure with the firm.  Kristen is incredibly dedicated to all of her clients’ success and works with great purpose and drive to solve the most complex problems they face.  Kristen has also served as a wonderful mentor and role model to the team at Putnam and is heavily invested in the personal growth and professional development of her colleagues.  We are excited to watch Kristen continue to thrive in her new role.”

Kristen has served pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients across a range of specialty therapeutic areas including neurology, dermatology, and immunology and has worked on engagements focused on market strategy development, product forecasting, and strategic brand planning.  Prior to joining Putnam, Kristen worked in the medical technology industry where she specialized in market development strategies for stem cell-based technologies.  Kristen earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, B.S. in Materials Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and completed post-doctoral training at Duke University. Throughout her academic career, Kristen’s research has focused on biomaterials and biomechanics, tissue engineering, and cell-material interactions.  While at Columbia University, Kristen received a National Science Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, earned dissertation distinction, and was awarded several national honors for her research including the Society For Biomaterials Achievement Award, the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine Young Investigator Award, and the Orthopaedic Research Society New Investigator Award. Kristen has authored eight peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters and has three pending patents.
