We are proud of Putnam runners Tara Sullivan and Meredith Godfrey for running in the 2018 Boston Marathon in brutal weather conditions and for raising over $27,000 combined for two amazing charities.
Tara ran as a member of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge (DFMC) for the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Based on a rigorous and highly selective process, the Barr Program funds the brightest, most creative scientists making basic research discoveries that are transforming cancer treatment.
Meredith ran for Brigham and Women’s Hospital for the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation. The center’s mission is to transform the outcomes for civilian and military heroes worldwide who have suffered devastating traumatic injuries.
Congratulations to both for the dedication, commitment and inspiring finish!
