Paul Bogorad, Ph.D. to Speak at 2009 Healthcare Deal Making Summit on Healthcare Comparative Effectiveness Reviews

September 21, 2009 -- Putnam Associates, , a Boston-based strategy consulting firm serving the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries globally, is pleased to announce that Paul Bogorad, Ph.D., Senior Manager, will speak today at the 2009 Healthcare Deal Making Summit entitled, "Positioning the Healthcare Organization for an Era of Reform," held on September 21-22, 2009 at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, TN.
Dr. Bogorad's forum, entitled "Healthcare Comparative Effectiveness Reviews," will cover fundamentals and scope of the comparative effectiveness plan, as well as truths and myths of effectiveness reviews.
In addition to Dr. Bogorad, the conference features a wide variety of speakers, including Senator Thomas Daschle, former Senate Majority Leader, on "Solving the Healthcare Crisis" and Senator Robert F. Bennett addressing "Prognosis for Healthcare Reform."
Paul Bogorad, Ph.D. joined Putnam Associates in 2005. At Putnam, Dr. Bogorad has assisted pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in access, pricing and reimbursement, health economic analysis, business development, R&D strategy, product valuations, product launch planning, market assessments, and forecasting. Prior to Putnam, Paul was part of the Life Science Practice at L.E.K. Consulting. Before entering consulting, Paul performed R&D management roles in two early stage medical technology companies. He co-founded a medical diagnostic company developing a novel imaging modality. The company was subsequently acquired by an international pharmaceutical corporation. In addition, Paul worked as a Research Manager at Amersham Health (now GE Healthcare). He is an author of 25 scientific publications and 8 patents. Paul holds a Ph.D. in physics from Princeton University, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a BA in physics and history from Swarthmore College.
