Leadership: Domenick Bertelli

Domenick Bertelli, Partner
Mr. Bertelli joined Putnam Associates in 2003 and has advised pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device clients on growth strategies, therapeutic area strategies, and pricing and reimbursement. He has specialized in studies that leverage significant quantitative analysis, which often involve primary research, and which usually include extensive synthesis to generate strategic recommendations. His dozen clients have encompassed three of the world’s top five pharmaceutical companies, several leading biotechs, and one of the fastest growing therapeutic device companies. His experience comprises both U.S. and global studies in several therapeutic areas — oncology, immunology, endocrinology, CNS, GI, cardiology, pulmonology, and women’s health. While working on portfolios and products that include both established category leaders and niche products, he has also had the opportunity to counsel several of the most prominent and successful new launches in recent years. Prior to joining Putnam, Domenick was an Engagement Manager in McKinsey & Company's New York office, where he was a member of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Products, High Tech, and Corporate Finance practices. Before McKinsey, he worked at BTAlex.Brown as an investment banker, conducted operations research as part of MIT's Lean Aerospace Initiative, and supported non-profits focused on economic development in a half dozen states. He earned an AB degree in government from Harvard University in 1991, and an MBA in new product and venture development from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1999.
